Christian “Chippy” Petersen
The face and founder of RiverBank. Chippy has spent the better part of the last two decades working with young people in various paid and unpaid roles. A Jack-of-all-Trades and passionate about helping young people find and chase their dreams, he’s the one you’ll find on the tools with our young people in the workshop and around town. You might even catch him with a fishing rod in hand and a handmade RiverBank lure just waiting for a chance to catch a big one!

Heather Petersen
Teacher, Mum, and Wife of our Founder, Heather brings a wealth of wisdom, understanding, professional knowledge and organisation to our programs. When she’s not busy in the classroom, or organising something for the school, you might catch her playing music, finding an excuse to catch up with friends or engrossed in a good book or two! A founding member of the RiverBank Youth Works Ltd Board, her vision only adds value to the direction the organisation is headed in the future.
